Steve Apter’s career in fire and safety is both extensive and impressive. Having served as a former UK Chief Fire Officer and Deputy Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade, Apter has been at the forefront of some of the most challenging and significant incidents in the UK.

In his role as Deputy Commissioner for the London Fire Brigade, Apter was responsible for the Fire Service Counter Terrorism capabilities and played a pivotal role in advising COBRa, Ministers, and Gold commanders during critical incidents.

His experience in dealing with CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) incidents is unparalleled, positioning him as an authority in complex emergency response scenarios. Since retiring from the Fire Service in 2021, he has been channelling his wealth of knowledge into his consultancy, focusing on crisis leadership, strategy planning, and executive coaching.

Steve’s contributions extend beyond the fire service; he was contracted by the NHS to Chair the Strategic Co-ordinating Group during the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID. His ability to adapt to various high-pressure situations and provide strategic direction showcases his versatility and leadership prowess in times of crisis.
