The 3rd Intersec Awards recently took place at the Palazzo Versace in Dubai, marking a celebration of innovation and commitment within the fire, safety, and security sectors.

The event was a part of the 25th edition of Intersec, held from 16-18 January 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), and saw a 38% increase in finalists, with 76 entries making it to the final round.

Winner: Ramtech Global (for the WES3 Temporary Wireless Fire and Evacuation System)

Outstanding Safety Solutions

Winner: SYSNAV (for the First Responder Smart Tracker)

Fire Safety Excellence Project

Sustainability Champion Award

Winner: Axis Communications (for the AXIS M4328-P Panoramic Camera)

Outstanding Fire Safety Team of the Year

About the Intersec Awards

New award categories

This year’s Intersec Awards introduced several new categories, reflecting the dynamic nature of the industries.

Among them, the Fire Safety Excellence Project Award was won by Reacton for their work on protecting UAE school buses for Emirates Transport.

The Security Project of the Year – Middle East and Africa Award went to the Virtual Technology Centre of Dubai Police for their Smart Security awareness project, and SYSNAV clinched the Outstanding Safety Solutions Award.

Other winners included Ramtech in the Fire Safety Excellence Award category, and Alyaa Alkaabi from the UAE Ministry of Interior, who won the Women Trailblazers in Security or Fire Safety Award.

Additional awardees included Drydock World, D-Fend Solutions, Garrett, Axis Communications, OTORIO, Shaima Basaeed from RTA, and Red Sea Global.

Silver jubilee of Intersec

Intersec 2024, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, celebrates its silver jubilee with the theme ‘Innovating security for a quarter-century’.

The event hosts 1,000 exhibitors from 60 nations and 45,000 trade visitors, showcasing advancements in Commercial & Perimeter Security, Homeland Security & Policing, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, and Cyber Security.
