He retired from the London Fire Brigade in October 2021, where he held the position of Deputy Assistant Commissioner and Head of Fire Safety.
Since February 2022, Trew has been contributing to the IFE as a Technical Advisor, notably leading the charge in the emerging technologies working group and providing technical expertise on various projects.
