Rosenbauer’s RFC CAFS Cube delivers high operational value in the Italian Alps

Rosenbauer, a leading provider of fire safety equipment, has been instrumental in enhancing the firefighting capabilities of Livigno’s fire department.

Located over 1,800 meters above sea level, Livigno’s challenging geography of narrow streets and steep gravel paths makes it difficult for traditional fire vehicles to operate effectively.

To address this, Rosenbauer has equipped an off-road vehicle with the RFC CAFS Cube compressed air foam system.

This innovative solution allows for effective fire fighting with water or foam in the entire area of responsibility, including hard-to-reach locations.

The RFC CAFS Cube boasts interchangeable modules, including two 80-liter foam tanks, and offers flexibility by being powered by an internal combustion engine.

The system’s effectiveness is credited to its exceptional extinguishing properties, cooling capacity, oxygen displacement, and adhesive effect.

Rosenbauer’s RTE RC Profile Self-Assistance Unit aids disaster preparedness

In times of blackouts or other disasters, the RTE RC Profile Self-Assistance Unit developed by Rosenbauer provides essential services such as basic supplies of electricity, light, heat, and emergency medical equipment.

The self-assistance variant of the modular RTE RC Profile MCE is specially designed for such emergencies, featuring an RTE PX 14 power generator, RLS2000 lighting system, and additional equipment that ensures an uninterrupted energy supply.

The unit’s compact size and ease of use allow for rapid deployment to meet basic supply needs in emergencies.

Advanced fire protection systems in DKV buildings by Rosenbauer

Rosenbauer has implemented advanced fire protection systems within the DKV’s Cologne buildings, illustrating the company’s commitment to preventative fire safety.

The systems range from sprinklers and wall hydrants to specialized nitrogen and deluge extinguishing systems.

The strategic placement of these systems across the buildings, along with Rosenbauer’s onsite maintenance staff, ensures maximum fire safety and full functionality.

A Rosenbauer employee is permanently stationed at the site to conduct maintenance and inspections, with the help of the Rosenbauer Mastercontrol system for automated routines and documentation.

The DKV’s fire protection arrangements showcase some of the most extensive systems managed by Rosenbauer in the German-speaking world.

IFSJ Comment

The advancements by Rosenbauer in fire safety technology represent a significant step forward in the industry’s capacity to tackle fires in diverse and challenging environments.

The RFC CAFS Cube’s deployment in Livigno enhances the fire department’s responsiveness in a region where traditional methods may falter due to terrain constraints.

Similarly, the RTE RC Profile Self-Assistance Unit’s design reflects a forward-thinking approach to disaster readiness, emphasizing the need for self-sufficiency during blackouts or other emergencies.

At the corporate level, the comprehensive fire protection systems installed in the DKV buildings in Cologne demonstrate how modern technology can be tailored to different environments, reinforcing the role of innovation in fire safety management.
