Distinction Doors unveils new fire door technologies

Distinction Doors will showcase its fire door system, known as fds, at The Fire Safety Event from 30th April to 1st May at the NEC in Birmingham.

This event will offer attendees the opportunity to experience the fds FD30/E30 internal and external composite fire door system firsthand.

The exhibition will include physical products, samples, and digital displays at stand 5/A36.

Exclusive features and broad colour options

The fds system is notable for its half-moon glazed and thermally insulated composite fire door.

This particular style, part of a comprehensive doorset, will be displayed in the distinctive Colza Yellow.

The stand will feature a variety of fds door styles and configurations, available in standard and custom RAL colours.

The only UKCA accredited composite fire doorset in the UK

Distinction Doors is proud to announce that its fds system is the sole UKCA accredited external composite fire doorset available in the UK.

The fds system meets critical standards including BS EN 14351-1 and BS EN 16034, ensuring compliance and reliability.

Gareth Roberts, head of fds sales, expressed the significance of this accreditation: “We are the only UK supplier to offer a UKCA accredited external composite fire doorset alongside our range of glazed fire door styles, making us a prime choice for visitors.”

A trusted solution for fire safety professionals

The fds system has undergone rigorous testing, achieving an average of 45 minutes integrity performance across multiple fire tests.

It has been tested in various countries to ensure consistent performance and is certified for ambient smoke control, security, weather resistance, and thermal performance.

“Our fds system is already trusted by many Registered Providers and local authorities,” Roberts added. “This show provides ample opportunity to raise awareness of modern composite fire door capabilities amongst fire safety professionals.”
